About Md Raihan Islam

I learned SEO by losing my own traffic.

I didn’t start with a course or a playbook. I started with my own websites, a Google update that took most of my traffic and no choice but to work out why.

Ten years later, that’s still the work — figuring out what actually happened before deciding what to do about it.

2016 · The turning point

My traffic dropped. So I had to understand why.

Before that, SEO was something I did casually. I’d been online since 2011 — social media, blogging, content, small digital projects. Alongside my Computer Science and Engineering studies from 2015, I built movie and educational websites, earned advertising revenue, and wrote content.

Those projects taught me how websites behave in the real world rather than how they look on paper. Then a major Google algorithm update took most of my traffic, and none of the advice I could find explained what had happened to me specifically.

So I spent months working through Google’s ranking systems, figuring out what had changed and recovering the sites myself. It was an expensive way to learn.

It was also the moment the work became interesting. Not “how do I rank” — but “what is actually happening here, and how would I prove it?” That question is still the job.

Illustrative — not a client chart. The shape is the point: the recovery is where the expertise came from, not the growth before it.

The path

From fixing my own sites to leading a team of 35.

2011

The online journey begins

Social media, blogging, content creation and small digital projects. No plan to work in search — just a lot of building.

2015

Computer Science & Engineering

I began my CSE studies while continuing to build websites alongside them. That engineering background is why I read log files and rendering behaviour rather than stopping at a crawl report.

2016

The Google update

A major algorithm update took most of my traffic. Recovering it forced me to study search systems, technical SEO and diagnosis at a far deeper level than any course would have.

2016

SEO Manager, Media on Cloud

Hired after they noticed what I'd done with my own traffic. When relocation was later required, I chose to continue independently and focus on remote work.

2018

Upwork and technical SEO

I moved onto Upwork focused specifically on technical SEO and recovery — the problems most freelancers avoided, which turned out to be the ones worth specialising in.

2019

SEO Service Care founded

Launched in January with two local employees, built around the same principle: understand the problem before selling a solution to it.

2026

A 35-person team

The company has grown past 35 professionals, every one of them personally trained and mentored. I still take on consulting engagements myself — see why below.

The obvious question

From fixing my own sites to leading a team of 35.

It’s a fair thing to ask, and worth answering directly rather than leaving you to wonder. SEO Service Care is a real agency with 35+ people, and I’m its founder. But I still lead a limited number of consulting engagements myself, and those are two genuinely different kinds of work.

The agency

Built for sustained execution

A team is the right answer for ongoing work — content production, link building, monthly optimisation, reporting, campaign management across many clients at once. That needs capacity, process and consistency and a team delivers all three better than one person ever could.

The consulting

Built for problems that don't delegate

A traffic collapse nobody can explain. A migration that never recovered. Pages that won’t index for reasons three audits missed. These need judgment rather than throughput and judgment is the one thing you can’t hand to a delivery queue.

When you hire me for a consulting engagement, I lead it personally. My team supports the execution — but the diagnosis and the direction stay with me.

There’s a practical advantage in it for you too. A solo consultant is a single point of failure; an agency alone can leave you without senior attention. This way you get the person who diagnosed the problem, with a team behind them to actually ship the fix.

How I work

Every SEO problem has a reason.

My job is to find it before recommending what to do next. That order matters more than anything else in this work.

01

Find the problem

What changed, what's underperforming, and where the evidence actually points — not where it's assumed to point.

02

Understand the cause

Technical data, search data, competitor movement and manual investigation, combined until the underlying issue is confirmed.

03

Create the plan

Findings turned into a prioritised, specific plan — ordered by business impact rather than by what's easiest to ship.

04

Solve and validate

The right fixes implemented, the signals monitored, and the outcome measured against the business rather than the dashboard.

What I specialise in

Expertise built around problems worth solving.

01

Technical SEO

Structural, crawling, indexing and rendering issues that stop search engines understanding a site properly.

02

SEO recovery

Traffic and ranking losses investigated, the cause identified and a safe path back mapped out.

03

Ecommerce SEO

The technical and intent problems standing between an online store's organic visibility and its revenue.

04

Local SEO

Visibility for businesses whose customers are nearby — profiles, maps, reviews and the technical layer underneath.

Proof matters more than promises.

Multi-platform experience

A personal belief

"When you're committed to real work, where's the time to teach courses?"

I’ve chosen to spend my time building, solving and delivering rather than packaging what I know into something to sell. It’s a less scalable choice. It’s also why the experience on this page is first-hand.
